User journeys
Using the driver experience as a catalyst for a refreshed UX and the foundations of a Wheels Design System
We are creating end-to-end experiences which put the driver in control, giving them access to the information they want and the actions they need to do with ease.
These experiences leverage best practice UX and UI conventions, integrated product journeys and cross channel parity for the best possible user experience
Highlights
Pool Solutions
We drew inspiration from rental car industry leaders for a user-friendly experience. Our seamless end-to-end journey integrates with other Wheels products, eliminating redundant driver information requests. The designs prioritize key user actions upfront, with secondary actions revealing more information when needed. We have broken down requests into smaller sections to minimize the risk of incorrect data entry. Additionally, our components serve as placeholders for future capabilities, like swapping the key box feature with remote unlocking.
Fuel management
In the fuel card journey, notifications convey manager messages to users, adaptable to SMS, email, or preferred communication methods. Our approach aligns with banking standards for secure access to sensitive information, meeting regulatory requirements and minimizing user friction. The self-service features adhere to top industry standards for similar digital requests, ensuring a seamless and reliable experience.
Mileage and Trip Logging
We have made it quick and easy for the driver to submit the required information. By pre-populating fields with data that already exists, we have reduced the time taken to log miles. The end-end experience for the user employs different mediums of entry points and data entry to improve completion rates.
The journey can compliment or stand alone from the separate Odometer reading requirement. The priority is reducing the amount of times a user has to enter in redundant information.
Maintenance and management
The designs prioritize self-service, offering intuitive journeys for booking and management. Anticipating drivers' needs, we prompt necessary arrangements, following best-in-class standards from marketplace products for familiarity. Information surfaces when needed, eliminating the need for digging. The inclusion of shared mobility showcases its versatility as a key capability across various products.
Registration renewal
For journeys that require the user to have additional documents in hand, we provide this prompt up front to allow them to prepare. A traffic light system emphasizes the urgency of the request and informs the user of the repercussions of delaying this. Breaking the requirements into separate sections lets the user save and continue, and view their progress as an incentive to complete them.
Using drivers as the launchpad for the new vision, we can expand the design system across the Wheels ecosystem.
